World Tai Chi Day in Twin Cities

Celebrate World Tai Chi and Qigong Day in the Twin Cities with Great River Tai Chi and other groups at Normandale Community College, Saturday, April 30th, from 9 till noon. Enjoy demonstrations, free classes, drawings, and more. Free and open to the public.
Tai chi has many benefits, besides being fun and interesting. It can enhance the body in sports performance in golf, horse riding, running, and so on. It has been shown to benefit health in many ways, from improving balance and posture, lowering blood pressure, to managing depression, Parkinson's symptoms, and more---a true lifetime exercise for all. Tai Chi can help the mind and spirit by improving focus and calm.

"Spring" Tai Chi Classes at Great RIver Tai Chi in Minneapolis

"Spring" tai chi classes in Minneapolis are set to begin
Sunday, March 20th, 7–8 pm at Great River Tai Chi. This 10-week sequence will give you a solid introduction to tai chi's many aspects. Known as a martial art, moving meditation, moving qigong, health exercise, Chinese yoga, and more, tai chi helps you gain balance, alignment, relaxation, and focus. Register at the first night of class. Register at class. New students accepted through April 3rd.
Great River has been offering classes since 1979. We welcome visitors.
Our studio is located at 1940 Hennepin Av. S. 2F. This is at the intersection of Hennepin and Franklin, in the Jawahir Dance Studios, above the former Burch Pharmacy.
